Chronos Consulting’s client is a multinational providing logistics, reactive containment and quality inspection solutions for the Heavy Transportation sector. This is a newly created role in the organization, due aggressive growth and customer expansion. We are seeking a seasoned Warehouse Operations-Logistics Regional Director, to manage both existing and new warehouses in Illinois & Indiana + additional locations in the future.

Job responsibilities and duties
The Role:
Reporting to the General Manager of Heavy Transportation, you will be responsible for:
Managing a team of 5 - 7 Managers and implementing operational excellence and best practices of warehouse processes, and all aspects of operations and team leadership of warehouse operations.
Leading, maintaining and executing the strategic plan & policies, and achieving business objectives, while driving a consistent high standard of safety, accuracy and efficiency in the flow of materials through the warehouse buildings across, logistics, material delivery and warehouse management.
Meeting budget, forecasting volume, labour planning and effectively driving the growth of the business.
Coaching, mentoring and maintaining cooperative working relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders to ensure warehouse’s deliver a high-level service measured by service level KPIs.
Developing processes to maintain logistics and inventory management and implementing best practices for safety, quality, for overall material management, and transportation
In collaboration with GM and leadership teams, participating in the development of warehouse optimization strategies, process improvement and standardized business processes

The Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 5-8 + years of experience in a senior leadership role in ideally Supply Chain-Warehouse Operations, Distribution Management, Material Management, Logistics & Transportation
Recognized knowledge of warehouse, distribution and logistics information systems and their applications
Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems and complementary technologies
Understanding budgeting, financial reporting, and business analysis
Proven track record in innovating, designing and implementing supply chain solutions that leverage automation and technology
Strong communications skills to guide and lead a diverse group of employees
Effectively delegate tasks, decision making, interpret, and communicate work requirements and goals, while managing department priorities
Flexible and adaptable in coping with pressures, deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
